New Announcements
Use these cooler months to plan ahead for next Springs planting. Tallyman Bananas can offer advice either via phone or on site.
Varieties that will be available next season are Lady Fingers including Misi Luki and Hamoa. There will also Goldfinger, Cavendish, Dwarf Cavendish and Plantain available.
Queen and Red Pineapple plants will be released for sale during winter.
Wholesale rates for more than 30 plants purchased. Delivery can be arranged.
The Tallyman can come to your place or you can arrange a one on one presentation any time of the year at either a home orchard, medium size plantation or large scale plantation.

Front yard Wasteland Converted to Banana Wonderland : A Presentation
During this event I will explain and show what I did to convert some wasteland into a banana wonderland. Along the way I will explain banana anatomy, how to grow large fruit, methods you can use for small to large plantings to maximize results as well as explaining about the NZ banana industry and how you could play a part in a fast growing industry.
$50 per person. Limited spots available.

Banana Circles with the Tallyman Bananas
$80 per person
The morning will consist of looking at, learning about and planting banana circles. Learn the anatomy and care of bananas. A look into the NZ banana industry and how you could play a part. Learn about all the different varieties and their differences.

FREE Banana tidy up. August-March is a good time to seperate extra suckers, remove dead leafs and feed. We can help with that
